The Town Club 10 and Under Tennis is designed to help children serve, rally, and score from the beginning while developing the love of the game, athletic/tennis competencies, and success. Our #1 priority is to teach your child how to actually PLAY tennis and have FUN doing it. Class placement should be based on a combination of age and skill development. We use slower balls, smaller courts, and appropriate sized rackets. This is not a race to the yellow ball. A 4:1 student to professional ratio is planned.

3-4 year olds; Red Ball Tennis

Children will learn the skills of tennis on a 36’ court with a stage 3 red felt ball and racquets 23” or less. Children will lean to serve, rally, and score from the beginning while focusing on athletic skill development.

Children will play on a 60’ court with a stage 2 orange ball and racquets 25” or less.

Children will play on a 78’ court with a stage 1 green dot ball.

14 and Under; Yellow Ball Tennis

Designed for USTA and Rookie Tournament players. Children will be exposed to a full range of technical and tactical development. All court tennis will be emphasized, along with instructional Match Play.

Designed strictly for the more competitive High School player and USTA ranked tournament level players. Emphasis will be placed on the physical, mental and emotional aspects of the game.

Players travel on a bus to compete against other Milwaukee area tennis clubs and recreation departments. USTA membership is required. Divisions include U10, U12, U14, and U18.

Wednesday between 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM, June 12 - July 31

Warm Up - 11:30 AM to 12 PM, Lunch 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM.

Away matches depart - 12:30 PM, Home matches begin 1:00 PM.

Cost - $125; Includes weekly drill, transportation, balls, team uniform, and team registration. USTA membership/online registration is required and is a separate fee.

*U8 Red Ball and U10 Orange Ball teams will play on Fridays; First time 10 and Under USTA Membership is “free.” Online player registration is required. Cost - $12 per match
